There's a fine line between being authentic and being strategic about what you share

Building a brand as an education entrepreneur can be tough- You're pouring your heart and soul into creating valuable content, supporting your audience, and trying to make a name for yourself in the industry.

But amidst all the hustle, it's easy to lose sight of something important – your influence.

I remember when I first started out, I was so focused on creating content that I forgot that my audience was watching and learning from me. I didn't realize the impact my words and actions had on them. It wasn't until someone pointed it out that I started to think about how I could be more mindful of my influence.

The Power of Influence

As someone who's looked up to by your followers, it's essential to remember that your actions and words carry weight. Your audience is watching, learning, and often emulating your approach. This can be both a blessing and a challenge.

For example, let's say you're collaborating with another educator or influencer in your niche. How you interact with them, how you promote their work, and how you present yourself can all impact how your audience perceives you.

Finding the Balance

There's a fine line between being authentic and being strategic about what you share

Being genuine is vital in building trust with your audience, but it's also important to consider the impact of your words and actions on your followers.

When interacting with industry leaders or potential collaborators, think about how you want to present yourself. Instead of openly expressing desires or aspirations, you might find it more effective to focus on building relationships and exploring potential collaborations.

So, how can you apply this in your daily life as an education entrepreneur?

- Be mindful of your social media posts and how they might be perceived by your audience.

- Take the time to engage with your followers and build meaningful relationships with them.

- Consider seeking guidance from mentors or peers who can offer valuable insights and advice.

Dear Emerging Edupreneur,

If you're feeling like you're not doing enough or that you're somehow less capable than others in your industry, take a deep breath and remember that everyone starts somewhere. Your journey is unique, and your progress may unfold at a different pace than others.

Focus on your strengths, passions, and goals. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem, and remember that every step forward is a step in the right direction.
